I've been listening GLAY ever sinceand this album is the best ballad album by far, and probability one of my all time favourite J-Rock album. Their newer works are a bit different than their earlier works, and Pure Soul was an album made just in the middle, music that's just right. Every track on this album is upbeat, some are a little slower, but it's an amazing album for anybody starting out in Jrock. In fact, all of the songs are my favourite. Even if you don't understand Japanese, the music alone is hypnotizing and so pick-me-up-ish.
